Spring Running Clothes – Stonewear Designs Review
Spring Running Clothes Review by Terri Barry My spring as a Stonewear Designs Ambassador is in full swing. I received my spring selections last week and the weather here in Sacramento must have gotten the memo because after only a few weeks of winter, it’s become beautiful, warm, and sunny. So, I immediately tried out my new Stonewear Designs running outfit: the Skipper Skort, Cross Back Top, and Velocity Top and ran six miles.
To be honest, I’ve never been a fan of running skorts. They have been too short for my liking and/or not comfortable because of the fabric. I ordered the Skipper Skort because it was a little longer than others I’ve tried and I know the Stonewear Designs fabrics are fabulous. It didn’t hurt that the photo in the catalogue seemed to indicate I should approach this with an open mind.
Well, I plan to order at least one more skort after wearing the Skipper Skort just once. This skort is feather-light but covers adequately, the shorts underneath are soft and comfortable, and the fabric breathes very well. I’m a serious runner and I’m picky about the fabrics I wear while running. I’ll get rid of any running top that isn’t completely moisture wicking or if it causes and rubbing or chaffing on a long run. I can tell you that the Velocity Top wicks like crazy and I hardly knew I had it on. The seams are soft and the top hangs well. I look forward to wearing this top completely out!
The fit is true-to-size. I’m 5’7” and 140 pounds and the medium of all three pieces fit perfectly. So, if you are looking for some new running clothes this spring that are highly functional and look and feel great, consider the combination of the Skipper Skort, Cross Back Top, and Velocity Top.
