Work or Play, Every-Single-Day Pants
Let’s take a moment and see if we can imagine where Stonewear Designs came up with the name for their Escape Pant. Could it mean “escape”… from ordinary pants? Escape from wearing anything other than pants that are your favorite pair, which you want to wear every single day?
Or maybe it was that these soft, durable and technical pants will make you feel ready for anything, and inspire you to get out and have an adventure… to escape a boring, inactive day?
We’ll probably never know. But I do know that because of their comfortable and flattering fit, soft yet tough fabric, and cute design details – I absolutely love my Stonewear Escape pants. I was very excited to see this new addition to the Stonewear Designs pants lineup, and have since discovered that they are indeed perfectly suited for hiking. The double snap closure keeps them in place nicely, with no sagging waistline under your pack. And in addition to the two front pockets, you get a bonus side cargo pocket perfect for keeping your phone or small camera handy.
Having some stretch for comfort is a must in my book, and the Escape Pant has just the right amount. The fabric has a generous give to it, yet does not stretch out with wear. Between this and the lightweight, quick drying fabric – the Escape Pant is also ideal for travel. They’d be comfortable during your journey, and versatile at your destination (they also convert to capris). In my arid Colorado climate, they literally dry in about 3 hours. They’d be very easy to launder while traveling, and wear the next day.
With a generous length, the Escape Pant will work for virtually almost any woman’s height – thanks to the hidden draw cords on both the inside and outside bottom leg seams. I absolutely love this design, and it allows you to tailor the Escape perfectly to your preferred length, and for your current activity. At 5’10”, they give me enough length to gather them just slightly (my favorite look) and still have them full length. Very, very cute! And very handy on the trail, if you heat up and wish you were wearing capris, or are crossing a stream and don’t want soggy pant legs.
After wearing my granite colored pair of Escape pants extensively, and receiving many complements these past few weeks… I ended up getting a sandstone colored pair, too. They are durable, with no signs of fading, piling, or snagging whatsoever. I highly recommend them. The Escape pants have truly become my favorite work or play, every-single-day pants!
