Cassie Strid’s Resolution: Climb to the Top
December is quickly coming to a close, so as we say goodbye to 2012 , we here at Stonewear are thinking about how to make 2013 an even better year. We consulted our team to get their opinions on New Year’s resolutions and to ask themwhat kinds of goals or projects they have planned for the new year. My New Years Resolution to climb to the top references all aspects of my life.
I plan to actually climb more mountains. I hope to check more 14ers and other tall mountains off my list.
I also want to overcome all of the metaphorical peaks that I’ve been too timid to conquer in the past. I plan to set higher goals for myself in my favorite outdoor activities, including skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, rock climbing, backpacking, and running. I want to run more races and train for my first ever marathon. I want to backpack for longer periods of time, become a better skier and rock climber, and plan more challenging snowshoeing trips.
I will also climb to the top of any challenges I face at work, home, and life. I plan to set more challenges for myself in all elements of my life. I want to be a better friend, family member, and employee. I plan to become more organized, accomplish more crafts and house projects, grow a big garden, live a simpler life, save more, give more, and have more fun! Overall, I want to create my challenges for myself, climb to the top to reach my goals, and never give up.
