Mychele Lepinsky: Create the World You Want
December is quickly coming to a close, so as we say goodbye to 2012 , we here at Stonewear are thinking about how to make 2013 an even better year. We consulted our Ambassadors and Grassroots Team Members to get their opinions on New Year’s resolutions and to ask them what kinds of goals or projects they have planned for the new year. Have questions or comments for our ambassadors? Connect on Facebook.
Stonewear Designs Ambassador Mychele Lepinsky writes:
I believe New Year’s Resolutions set us up for failure. And whatever new things we want to try or changes we’d like to make should happen because we want them to happen in small steps. I really believe they should not be labeled as “resolutions.” Don’t set yourself up for failure. Pick something reachable, something that can be achieved in steps, or try something new. But if you don’t like it, pick something else–don’t make yourself do it just because you made it your New Year’s Resolution. Your happiness is YOURS to create. Do what makes you happy–resolution or not.
Create your world when you want and how you want. You don’t need Jan. 1 to do that! Like Oprah says, “Live Your Best Life.” Period.
What do you think? Do you find New Year’s Resolutions helpful or detrimental?
