Our New 2014-2015 Ambassador Team!

Uncategorized -

We received so many impressive applications to our 2014-2015 Ambassador Program this summer, and had some pretty difficult decisions to make! Each ambassador applicant had something unique and amazing to offer, and we loved connecting with new women and communities. We want to thank everyone who sent in applications and recommendations–we hope to stay in touch with all of you.

We selected five new women to join the Stonewear Team, making our 2014-2015 Ambassador Program seven women strong! Help us welcome Jenny Nichols, Natalie Duran, Liv McCoy, Kathy Dalton and Lynn Petre as our newest ambassadors, and join us in welcoming back Amelia Mayer and Tami Mittan (also ambassadors from last year’s team!).

Amelia Mayer lives with her husband and three young children (aged 6 months, 3 and 5) and yellow lab, Katmai, in Yellowstone National Park.  She believes whole-heartedly in the fact that outdoor time as a family makes everyone happier, and she loves to encourage all families to spend as much time in the fresh air as possible.  Amelia also knows that staying active means that she is a better wife, mom, and woman and so does so without fail (otherwise no one is happy!), “I also hope that the message I send to my kids (without words) leads them to live a full and active life,” she says. Amelia runs, bikes, practices Pilates, does Barre3, hikes, skis, camps, blogs (check out Tales of a Mountain Mama), and enjoys taking photos and digital scrapbooking. This year, Amelia hopes to run her first half-marathon, train for a triathlon, and continue juggling her kiddos. She also hopes to further pursue her new-found love of mountain biking.  Getting outside and being active is a daily endeavor – usually with her whole family.

Her favorite quote: “Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.” -John Muir

Favorite workout song: “Hey Ya” by Outkast. “It makes me bump up the workout and start dancing every time!” she says.
