Talking Self-Esteem and #LoveThyself

For the next few weeks, we’re talking about how to #lovethyself. We asked our blog contributors and ambassadors to talk about themselves in positive ways and to share their self-love tips.
Do you have your own #lovethyself story or tip? Share it with us on Twitter or Facebook!
We’re starting with our blogger, Eve’s answers.
What do you love most about yourself physically and why?
I love being little! It may be an impediment when trying to reach the top shelf (I’m just hovering around five feet…), but I’ve developed an extra big personality to make up for my vertical “limitations,” and I love that about myself. Not to mention, I’m always comfortable (at least as comfortable as one can get) on airplanes. Plus, people are always pleasantly surprised by my physical strength–they don’t expect a little lady to pack a (non-violent) punch.

I felt that my height was something I could either hate about myself or embrace. I decided to embrace it! Why be negative when you can be positive? People are drawn to self-love and respect, and embracing all that you have makes you grateful and appreciative. Instead of wishing I had longer legs, I can appreciate the fact that I have strong legs—that I can walk, run, skip, dance, and enjoy life as I want to.

Any tips on appreciating and accepting yourself?
These quotes (you can seem them all on the Stonewear Designs “Get Self-Esteemy” Pinterest board):

“Nothing can dim the light which shines from within.” -Maya Angelou
“If you are going to doubt something, doubt your limits.” -Don Ward
“Perfect is boring, human is beautiful.” -Tyra Banks
“I refuse to be defined by a number of any kind.”
